Pre-prosthetic and prosthetic training built around you — at home or at a gym, in partnership with your prosthetics team.
Before a prosthesis is fitted, the work begins. We focus on residual limb care and shaping, strengthening the surrounding muscles, improving balance, and building the endurance needed to tolerate and use a device well. We coordinate directly with your prosthetist at ForMotion, Hanger, Nevada Orthotics & Prosthetics, or Nevada Limb & Brace to ensure your physical preparation and device fitting are moving together.
Once fitted, learning to use a prosthesis is its own skill. We work closely alongside your prosthetics team to align how the device fits with how you move — adjusting training as your socket fit, comfort, and function evolve. Gait, weight-bearing, terrain skills, and daily life use are all built in partnership with your prosthetist.
Every program is shaped around your amputation level, your device, and the life you are working toward.
Desensitization, shaping, and skin care to prepare the limb for a well-fitting, comfortable prosthesis.
Targeted strengthening of the hip, core, and surrounding musculature to support stable and efficient movement.
Single-leg and dynamic balance training to build steadiness and reduce fall risk at home and in the community.
Step-by-step progression from parallel bars to open environments — walking with a prosthesis takes practice and cues.
Safe strategies for getting in and out of bed, chairs, cars, and the floor — with and without your prosthesis.
Curbs, ramps, stairs, and uneven ground — we practice the real surfaces you'll encounter outside the home.
We get moving quickly — with a plan that evolves through both phases of your rehabilitation.
A short call to understand your amputation level, your prosthetic status, and what your goals look like.
We assess strength, mobility, and your home environment — where your daily rehabilitation actually lives.
A phase-appropriate plan — pre-prosthetic, prosthetic training, or bridging both — built around your timeline.
We adjust as you advance, coordinating with your prosthetist when fit or function needs to be revisited.
